Auburn men’s basketball has officially found itself in one of the most high-profile recruitments of this cycle.
Four-star guard Kiyan Anthony narrowed his recruitment to three schools Tuesday, one of them being Auburn. Kiyan is the son of star NBA player Carmelo Anthony.
USC and Syracuse are the other two schools included in his top 3. Carmelo played his college basketball at Syracuse, spending one season with the Orange in 2002-2003.
Kiyan is the No. 28 overall recruit in the country and the No. 1 player in New York, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Auburn currently has just one player committed in its 2025 class, combo guard and Huntsville native Simon Walker. The Tigers had the No. 22 overall 2024 recruiting class, according to 247Sports, signing top 100 players Tahaad Pettiford and Jahki Howard.
Kiyan told 247Sports that he plans to make his decision during the first week of November.
