The once polyamorous family of Kody Brown and his 4 wives has crumbled with time and the cats are coming out of the bag left and right. After Christine Brown left the man, Meri Brown, and Janelle Brown followed suit, leaving the patriarch of the family with Robyn Brown. However, even the remaining relationship seems to be struggling at the moment. Season 19 of Sister Wives focuses on the unraveling of his two marriages as well as the hiccups in his relationship with Robyn.
Now that the ex-wives are leaving behind their lives of polyamory, they are holding no punches back as they give viewers an insight into their failed marriages. Meri Brown, for instance, got candid about the vague promises made by her ex-husband, especially when it came to their controversial move to Flagstaff.
Meri Brown Reveals Kody Brown’s Lies
Meri and Kody Brown tied the knot back in 1990 meaning that she stuck around for the man through three decades and three more wives before finally putting her foot down and saying ‘enough is enough.’
Things were going smoothly for the Brown family but it looks like a controversial decision eventually ended up causing them their lifestyle – the move to Flagstaff.
During the September 15 premiere of Sister Wives season 19, Meri opened up about all the fake promises Brown made to her regarding their marriage before officially moving to Flagstaff. She stated (via E Online),
He led me to believe that he would work on things by saying, ‘Oh Meri, when we move to Flagstaff, this will be a good time to have a new beginning for us. Like he led me to believe those things. This is what he’s done for many, many years.
Meri was over his communication skills or the lack thereof. She believed that Brown couldn’t express what he really wanted or did not want from his life, keeping her and the rest of the wives in a state of haze.
… His lack of communication and how he really felt and what he really wanted or what he really didn’t want and the story that he’s been telling for all these years.
While Meri acknowledged the fact that Brown would be “so mad” at her for saying these things and more, she couldn’t care less about his reaction. In her own words, she is “kind of not giving a flying rat’s a*s.” Slay.
Kody Brown’s Fourth Marriage Is in a Bad Position
Season 19 of Sister Wives was filmed back in 2022 when Brown’s separation from Janelle and Meri was still going on. During this time, his fourth and only wife Robyn opened up about the state of their marriage.
Shown in the premiere of season 19, Robyn can be seen stating that her marriage is in the “worst” position yet. She spoke about how “tough” it all is and how Brown doesn’t know who to blame for the whole fiasco.
In her own words (via Today),
We’re probably doing the worst we’ve ever done in our marriage. It’s been tough. It’s been tough between us. He doesn’t know who to blame, himself or one of the other wives. Kody’s feeling a lot of rejection, so I think he’s kind of looking at me going, ‘Are you going to reject me too?’ So I’m on my toes. I’m having to consistently make sure that he’s not sabotaging our relationship.
It looks like Flagstaff proved to be bad luck for the Brown family. Now the only question is, will Robyn stick with her husband through the rollercoaster or will she get off like Meri, Janelle, and Christine?
