HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The murder suspect for a deadly shooting on Lakeview Drive was arrested in Kentucky, according to police.
The Huntsville Police Department said they have charged 34-year-old Kiarah Donque Jones with murder in a deadly shooting in the 3000 block of Lakeview Drive on Nov. 17.
The department said officers responded to the area for a shooting around 5 a.m. and found 35-year-old James Grays with a gunshot wound.
The department said they learned that the morning of the shooting, Grays was leaving a party when he was shot. HPD said Grays was pronounced dead at the scene.
After the department gathered evidence from the scene, they obtained a warrant for Jones on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
According to HPD, Jones was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in Lexington, Kentucky on Friday, Nov. 22.
