AL-ETTIFAQ have announced two major exits within the club – but Steven Gerrard will stay at the club for now.
The former Rangers boss, 44, is under severe pressure in the Saudi hot-seat after a dreadful start to the season.
Ettifaq currently sit 12th out of 18 teams in the top flight after ten games, registering just three wins and two draws.
Reports from the Middle East this week claimed the Dammam-based club have been considering axing the ex-Gers gaffer, who is one of the highest paid managers in the globe.
But going by the club’s recent statement this evening, it seems Liverpool legend’s job is safe for the moment.
That’s because the side have announced the departures of two members of staff – and Gerrard isn’t one of them.

But another former Rangers man has been shown the door – sporting director Mark Allen.
They’ve also confirmed the shock exit of Gerrard’s assistant Dean Holden, who only linked up with the under-fire manager in February.
A statement from the club read: “The board of Ettifaq, led by Mr. Samer Almisehal, has approved the recommendations of the football committee, which are as follows: Mark Allen to leave his position as executive sporting director by mutual agreement. Dean Holden to leave his position as assistant manager by mutual agreement.
“The chairman, Mr Sameer Almisehal, reaffirmed that the board is fully committed to supporting the technical staff and players in their efforts to improve the club’s position in the league and to secure a top spot in the Gulf Champions League.
“He also expressed his apologies to Ettifaq fans for the disappointing exit from the King Cup.
“The board and everyone at the club deeply appreciate the unwavering support of Ettifaq fans despite recent unsatisfactory results. We remain optimistic that better results are on the horizon.”
