YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Code enforcement officers in Youngstown on Tuesday arrested a man caught dumping tires on the city’s east side — tires they say he brought across state lines from Pennsylvania.
On Monday, the man arrived at the corner of Jacobs Road and Nelson Avenue, where he dumped tires on a vacant lot.
When he returned Tuesday, he was spotted by street department employees, who called code enforcement. He was then arrested.
The man told officers he was bringing the tires from Sharon and a company was paying him $3 a tire to have them dumped.
He’s expected to be charged Wednesday, though the Ohio Attorney General’s Office could get involved since he crossed state lines.
