MCDONALD’S launched its winter menu this week and there’s one item in particular that fans are going wild for.
Fast food lovers can get their hands on two never-seen-before menu items, as well as some returning favourites.
Among the additions to the menu is the new Terry’s Chocolate Orange pie.
It’s a variation on the classic and beloved apple pie and has proved to be a hit with foodies.
Customers can pick up the crispy chocolate pastry that’s filled with a Chocolate Orange-flavoured ganache filling for just £1.99.
When The Sun did a taste-test of the new item, reporter Sam Walker classed it as “delicious”.
And now it seems Maccies customers are in agreement.
Posting on the Facebook group Food Finds UK Official one shared pictures of the treat.
They said: “I think this might be the best pie McDonald’s has ever released..”
The post was met with more than 1,000 comments and 1,400 likes.
One foodie commented: “Oh my goodness need.”
Another wrote: “It’s genuinely so good.”
While a third posted: “Shut the front door, is this real?!”
Another asked if it tasted like the real deal, and the original poster replied and said: “Yes it really does.”
A fifth said: “Was soo good
A sixth wrote: “They had this a few years ago and it was amazing, I’m so glad it’s back!
Others declared it’s “the best one so far”, while another “tried and it was amazing”.
Some also described it as “banging” and “lush”.
Bu not everyone seemed to agree, some who had tried it said it didn’t compare to the previous variations such as the Galaxy Caramel pie.
One said: “Just tried it and it’s got nothing on the caramel. It’s very mid. 5/10 orange is overpowering.”
Another wrote: “It was ok, I prefer the other chocolate pie they did.”
A third commented: “Just had mine, 1/10 not great at all.”
While a fourth posted: “Just tried it and it’s bleurgh.”
Whether you’re a fan or not there are still plenty of items you can choose from on the menu.
What else is on the festive menu?
The other brand new addition to this year’s winter menu is the Cheesy McCrispy, priced from £5.99.
The burger comes with all the usual fillings in a classic McCrispy, such as a crispy chicken fillet, bacon, lettuce, crispy onions and pink pickled onion chutney – plus two slices of cheese and cheese sauce.
McDonald’s lovers will also be delighted to learn of a few returning items blessing menus this winter, including the much-loved Big Tasty.
The Big Tasty has made its comeback after being axed in March, priced at £7.59 – or £8.39 if you want to add bacon.
It consists of a beef patty with Emmental cheese, onions, tomatoes and smoky barbecue sauce, all layered inside a toasted bun.
Another returning fan-favourite is The Cheese Melt Dippers with tomato sauce for £2.49 standard size and £6.79 sharing size.
Combining breaded Camembert cheese with a spiced tomato dip, this festive item will be seen for the first time since it was temporarily dropped from menus at the beginning of 2024.

How to save at McDonald’s
You could end up being charged more for a McDonald’s meal based solely on the McDonald’s restaurant you choose.
Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30% cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.
You can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 at any time by filling in a feedback survey found on McDonald’s receipts.
The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.
You’ll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.
There are some deals and offers you can only get if you have the My McDonald’s app, so it’s worth signing up to get money off your meals.
The MyMcDonald’s app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android phones and is quick to set up.
You can also bag freebies and discounts on your birthday if you’re a My McDonald’s app user.
The chain has recently sent out reminders to app users to fill out their birthday details – otherwise they could miss out on birthday treats.
How do I find my nearest McDonald’s?
If you’re planning on taking a trip to McDonald’s, you’ll want to know where your nearest branch is.
The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one – and check what time it opens.
McDonald’s serves breakfast every day until 11am – after that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.
