Minister of Health: Paphos Hospital will be structurally upgraded by the summer Liberal


Its architectural upgrade Paphos Hospital will be completed by the summer, assured the Minister of Health, speaking from Paphos, on the sidelines of the national celebrations for the 1the April.

Part of the projects have been completed and given for use since February, said Mr Michalis Damianouwhile the general building upgrades are in progress, which will be complete as he said before this summer.

It is the first time, he emphasized, that such extensive and important upgrading and maintenance work has been carried out since the 1990s when the current state hospital of Paphos was built. In addition to the new hemodialysis unit that is already operating, his plans include work on the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and the pediatric ward.

The project has a total cost of approximately 5.8 million euros, of which 1.5 million is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
