More than 800 monuments throughout Flanders are swinging their doors open today for the 36th Open Monument Day. Under the name ‘En route!’, this year’s event focuses on how people and ideas are always on the move, along centuries-old routes over land, rail or water. With more than 1,100 free activities, 100 more than last year, there is something for everyone.
