They were transferred to the marina of Ayia Napa the three new boats with about 150 migrants who arrived from Lebanon.

According to the latest update, a total of 137 people were on board the three boats, bringing the total number of migrants to 408 in a 24-hour period.

An operation was set up in the area to count them by the Famagusta Police, who are expected to transfer them later this evening to the “Pournara” Hospitality Center in Kokkinotrimithia.

It is reminded that the three boats were spotted early Monday afternoon, alerting the Port and Maritime Police for the second time, within a few hours.

Yesterday with five other boats, 271 migrants arrived with the Police proceeding with the arrest of 4 Syrians alleged to be the boat’s navigators.

The competent services remain on alert, since there is information about new flows of immigrants and for this reason an emergency meeting of the National Security Council was convened tomorrow.
