UFC Fight Night in Edmonton has a new main event.
On Tuesday, Dana White announced on social media that the No. 2-ranked flyweight fighter Brandon Moreno and No. 3-ranked Amir Albazi will headline the event in Northern Alberta on Nov. 2.
Moreno holds a professional record of 21-8-2 with five wins by knockout, 11 wins by submission and eight first-round finishes. He lost his last fight on Feb. 24 to Brandon Royval by split decision.
Royval was a replacement for Albazi in that February fight, after Albazi was forced to withdraw due to a neck injury.
Albazi owns a 17-1-0 record with five knockout victories, nine wins by submission and nine first-round finishes. His last fight was over a calendar year ago, when he beat Kai Kara-France by split decision on June 3, 2023. Albazi’s only loss came to Jose Torres in 2019.
UFC Edmonton’s card also includes co-main event fights between Erin Blanchfield and Rose Namajunas and Jhonata Diniz and Derrick Lewis.
According to Sportsnet’s Aaron Bronsteter, Blanchfield vs. Namajunas will still be contested at five rounds despite no longer being the main event.
Six Canadians are also scheduled to be on the card at Rogers Place.

White also announced Charles Jourdain (Beloeil, Que.) will be on the card, but did not reveal who he will be fighting.
Tickets for the event will go on sale on Sept. 20. Edmonton has previously hosted two UFC events at Rogers Place, including UFC 240 in 2019 and UFC 215 in 2017.
