Motorcyclist dies after colliding with motor vehicle in Norwalk

A man died after the motorcycle he was operating was reportedly struck by a car in Norwalk on Saturday.

Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a 911 call around 5:38 p.m. on Saturday reporting a motorcycle was struck by a vehicle on Winfield Street by the intersection of Pequot Drive, according to the Norwalk Police Department.

The Norwalk Police Department, Norwalk Fire Department and Norwalk Hospital Emergency Medical Service were dispatched to the scene and provided medical aid to the operator identified as Dwight Clifford St. John of Norwalk.

St. John was transported to Norwalk Hospital where he later was pronounced dead, police said.
