Kylie Minogue was initially set to play nine UK arena dates as part of her Tension Tour, including Newcastle, Sheffield, Nottingham and London.

It is her first tour since her 2019 Golden Tour – and her biggest since 2011.

But after diehard fans were left gutted when the hotly anticipated tickets sold out in a matter of minutes, the global icon has since added three more dates.

Now, she will play Glasgow‘s OVO Hydro on May 16 and June 6 next year.

The 56-year-old Austrailian superstar will release her seventeenth album, Tension II, on October 18 ahead of the global tour.

Its lead single Lights Camera Action started steaming last Friday – with fans hailing it “an absolute banger” online.

Her mega hit Padam Padam which she released last May relaunched her career.

The song went viral and picked up a variety of different meanings.

Urban Dictionary defines Padam Padam as: “An onomatopoeia for the sound a heartbeat makes when you’re a diva who’s slaying, coined by Kylie Minogue.”

Tickets for the new UK tour dates will go on general sale on Friday October 4.

But superfans who have preordered the new album will have access to the presale on October 2.

We recently revealed that the hitmaker is ready to lift the lid on her stellar showbiz career by writing her memoir.

An insider said: “Kylie is at the pinnacle of her career and now feels like the perfect time to write about her life and relive some memories.

“She’ll reveal some new anecdotes and stories and dig out some snaps from her archive.

“She will cover her music, TV and film roles, and of course her love life. The finished product is sure to incite a bidding war among publishers.”

Elsewhere, another massive music star has announced two huge Scots shows.

And a music legend is set to perform in Edinburgh for the first time in 46 years.
