New Boost Bowls franchise opening in CT. Owners say they are part of location’s ‘new energy.’

Boost Bowls is opening its fifth location in Connecticut.

The Hat City location, owned by Tatiana and Val Mehmeti, will open its doors on Sept. 13 at Danbury Square Plaza at 15 Backus Avenue. The other locations are in Bethel, Newtown, West Hartford and Mystic.

Boost Bowls’ menu features açaí bowls but also has smoothies, smoothie bowls and juices. The company says it serves ‘irresistible flavors without additives.’

The Mehmetis said they are happy to be back home and spent much of their youth at the Danbury Square Plaza.

“It feels like everything has come full circle,” Tatiana Mehmeti said, in a release.

“Val graduated from Danbury High, and I attended until sophomore year,” she said. “To now be opening a Boost Bowls here, right next to the mall we grew up visiting—it just feels right.”

“The plaza has changed a lot since we were kids, with some big names leaving, but now, with new ownership and a brewery opening up where Barnes & Noble used to be, it feels like the area is coming back to life,” Val Mehmeti said, also in a statement. “We’re thrilled to be part of that new energy.”
