A Sheffield man died Sunday night in a marine accident in Colbert County.
Senior Trooper Cody Farrar of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the incident happened at about 7 p.m. on Pickwick Lake near Little Bear Creek.
Ian H. Dodge, 44, was fatally injured when the personal watercraft he was operating struck a log near the shoreline.
Farrar said Dodge was thrown from the craft onto shore into the nearby wood line, where he was later pronounced dead.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Marine Patrol Division continue to investigate.
