Elden Ring is the pinnacle of the Soulslike genre and the latest project of director Hidetaka Miyazaki. Every single project developed by FromSoftware has always featured some massive improvements from the previous games, and this title took everything, and the developers dialled it up to an eleven. The game was released two years ago and some players are discovering secret details about certain enemy bosses with a tragic past.
The Guiding Grace kept the Tarnished on the main path; however, some fans realized it was playing both sides. Godfrey is a formidable foe in the game and was destined to cross paths with the player for a similar reason.
Elden Ring Players Discovered the Guiding Grace Was Leading Them to Danger
The Soulslike genre is not for the faint of heart and throughout the years, FromSoftware nurtured a generation of competitive players pioneering for self-growth and improvement. These games teach the gaming community patience, and discipline. This genre encourages them to think critically when faced with annoying enemy types in their travels. Unfortunately, Elden Ring is flush with annoying enemies with unique character designs and attack patterns.
Despite the rich and diverse landscapes of the latest Soulslike project, fans are not enthusiastic about facing hard-hitting and overpowered enemies. The Tarnished will have to endure countless trials and hardships before becoming the Elden Lord as they are guided by the Guiding Grace to keep them on the main path; however, some players realize that their guide was inadvertently guiding them to their demise as they go against Godfrey, the original Elden Lord, and a fellow Tarnished.

The Tarnished is cursed or blessed, depending on how the player views it, with immortality. The Guiding Grace is keeping the Tarnished alive by resurrecting him no matter how many times he perishes in battle to fulfill his role to become the Elden Lord. Godfrey was the original Tarnished and Elden Lord which would mean the Guiding Grace is keeping him alive and on the main path and is a major thorn in the side of players in their journey to become the next Elden Lord.
The Guiding Grace has no favourites and is willing to pit both versions of the Tarnished against each other until only one remains. The fight against Godfrey is not easy, especially when is fueled by rage and despair for losing his son at the hands of players. The gaming community has had enough experience this late into the game and is well-equipped to take on the former Elden Lord and overthrow him.
The Guiding Grace Has No Preference for Which Tarnished Will Reign Supreme in Elden Ring
Whoever is left standing after the boss fight will advance to take on the final bosses: Elden Beast and Radagon. Godfrey views the Tarnished the players are in control of as his final test to see whether he has what it takes to take on these omnipotent foes and vice versa. Both were Tarnished and are guided by the Guiding Grace for the same reason.
Some players treated this boss battle no different from previous fights, However, Elden Ring seems to have a terrible hitbox feature and some players are complaining about the ridiculous range and reach of a few melee attacks despite their best efforts to evade them with perfectly timed dodges. Godfrey is much slower but can pack a punch making him a massive threat.
The Guiding Grace has no favorites and will accept the outcome. Whether Godfrey or the Tarnished will reign victorious none of it will matter as long as they can fulfill their roles to become the next Elden Lord.
FromSoftware crafted another original lore that blew the gaming community away. The lore build-up to that fight was monumental, and fans would love to see more in succeeding Soulslike titles.
