The Premise of One Piece‘s Chapter 1126
Chapter 1126 of One Piece opens with a climactic scene involving Shanks and his crew, who are engaged in a fight with Bartolomeo’s crew. But Bartolomeo’s pirates were no match for Shanks and his seasoned pirates. Despite their crushing defeat, this fight provided an important instance of Bartolomeo‘s deep admiration for Luffy.
Shanks’ crew offers them poison in order to kill Luffy. However, in order to save Luffy, Bartolomeo drinks the poison himself. But it turns out, that the whole event was played out by Shanks in order to test Bartolomeo’s loyalty, and the poison itself was fake. Thus, their whole ship was later shot down by Yasopp.

Apart from the conflict between the Red-hair pirates and Bartolomeo’s crew, there’s another key event has been unfolding in the One Piece world. The narrative transitions back to Hachinosu, the Pirate Island under the control of Blackbeard.
Marshall D. Teach, AKA Blackbeard’s fury is evident, as he returns to his stronghold and directs his anger towards Pizzaro, who allows Koby to escape during the critical moment.
However, despite his anger at Pizzaro, Blackbeard does not allow this misstep to overshadow Kuzan’s accomplishment. He praises Aokiji for successfully capturing Monkey D. Garp, as it is a key victory for the Blackbeard pirates.
Monkey D. Garp’s Fate After Defeat
One of the biggest revelations in Chapter 1126 is Monkey D. Garp’s current status, as despite being captured, he’s not dead. This news comes as a relief to fans who were concerned about the Marine hero’s fate after his brutal encounter with Kuzan and the Blackbeard Pirates. However, the defeat has left Garp severely weakened, both in body and spirit.
Despite his capture, Garp’s indomitable spirit remains intact. Throughout his career, Garp has always been a symbol of strength, justice, and resilience. Will he use him as leverage against the Marines, or does he have other cunning intentions for the Marine hero?
Koby’s survival and escape could have significant repercussions. His escape may provide an opportunity for the Marines to regroup and launch a rescue mission for Garp, though it remains uncertain if they will make it in time.
