One Piece anime episode 1119

The recently released One Piece anime episode 1119 has finally revealed the intriguing storyline of Sabo learning about Imu and the rest of the Five Elders’ powers. Not only that, he also found out about the Poneglyphs and the role they play in the fate of the One Piece world. However, fans are more concerned about how Sabo managed to escape the clutches of the strongest authorities in the world.

Sabo is one of the strongest characters in One Piece, as he is the second in command of the Revolutionary Army. But even he is not capable of facing all the Five Elders and Imu together and live to tell the tale. Considering the fact that Luffy couldn’t even ward off the Five Elders, even having so much help from Egghead.

Thus, there is a theory that hints that Imu let Sabo escape so he can put out the word that he is ready to finally come out of the shadows and launch a war against all those who went against his authority. While this theory sounds insane, this could very well mark the beginning of the final war in One Piece.

Sabo Managed To Escape From The Five Elders and Imu

The latest One Piece anime episode started where episode 1118 left off. Nefertari Cobra was still shocked to see someone sitting on the Empty Throne and understood that he wouldn’t make it out alive. Imu is then seen asking Cobra questions about Nefertari Lili and the letter that she sent to Alabasta years ago. All of these conversations are being heard by Sabo.

Cobra reveals that the letter mentioned Nefertari Lili as Nefertari D. Lili, emphasizing the D in her name, which startles Imu. Out of anger, Imu stabs Cobra, and just as he is about to kill him, Sabo enters the scene and saves Cobra from the clutches of the Five Elders and Imu. As soon as Imu sees Sabo, he and the Five Elders take on their Yokai forms to launch an attack on him.

While Sabo defends himself, he still gets stabbed while trying to make a run for it along with Cobra. As Cobra knows he will not live for long, he asks Sabo to leave him behind and gives him a message from Lili. Cobra is then seen trying to buy time for Sabo as he tries to get out of Pangea Castle.

One Piece Theory Explains How Sabo Escaped

Although Sabo is exponentially strong considering his Haki abilities and his Devil Fruit, there was no way he could have escaped so easily from the Five Elders and Imu. Imu is the literal Supreme Leader of the World Government and possibly the most powerful character in One Piece. Thus, Sabo escaping Imu feels like a plot hole.

The only theory that somewhat explains the scenario is that Imu let Sabo escape on his own wish. This is because Imu has been hidden in the shadows for almost 800 years.

And with the recent developments in the narrative, there is a strong possibility that Imu might finally appear out of the shadows and officially declare himself as the Supreme Leader of the world.

This would be his way of declaring war on his enemies, which includes the Pirates and the Revolutionary Army. This could also mark the beginning of the Final Battle that will decide the fate of the One Piece universe. Eiichiro Oda really needs to give a decent explanation about Sabo’s escape in the upcoming One Piece episodes.

One Piece is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
