SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio — One South Euclid is giving area residents a nudge to try out some of the city’s restaurants.
From June 1-7, the city’s nonprofit community development corporation will hold for the first time South Euclid Restaurant Week. Designed to showcase the culinary delights offered in South Euclid, 11 establishments are set to take part by offering specials.
In addition to Restaurant Week, One South Euclid is also presenting, on June 9, an INTERSECTION community party event to which residents are invited, planned for the city’s soon-to-open food truck park off Rushton Road.
“This weeklong celebration offers the perfect opportunity for people to try new restaurants or dine at old favorites while supporting local businesses,” said One South Euclid Executive Director Annette Iwamoto of Restaurant Week. “Participating restaurants will offer special deals and menus, making it an ideal time to discover new flavors and satisfy cravings.
“This is our first year (for Restaurant Week),”she said. “Our (One South Euclid) Community Engagement Committee, which just re-launched or reformed, thought that not enough people know of all the great restaurants we have in South Euclid and that this would be a great way to invite people to try them out.”

INTERSECTION
June 9 will mark the opening day of the city’s food truck park, at the municipal lot located off Rushton Road, and behind McDonald’s, 4500 Mayfield Road. The city is opening the food truck park with a bang as One South Euclid will present an INTERSECTION event, billed as a party to kick off the summer.
The family-friendly event will take place from 5-10 p.m. and feature performances of R&B and blues tunes by Afi ‘n the Mix, and the band Follow the Sun performing songs from a variety of musical genres and eras. Follow the Sun was voted one of Cleveland Magazine’s top five cover bands in 2022.
Food trucks that night will include those from Barrio and, serving vegan comfort food, Squash the Beef. The food truck park will include a children’s play area.
“We are excited to welcome everyone to the first night of the South Euclid Food Truck Park and to be featuring local area food trucks that satisfy everyone’s palate,” said Iwamoto.
