(NEXSTAR) – Paul Teal, an actor known for his roles in “One Tree Hill” and “Deep Water,” has died, his loved ones and costars said on social media.
Teal died Friday, his partner and fellow actor Emilia Torello, said on Instagram. He was 35 years old.
“Paul, you were my soulmate, my soon-to-be-husband, my rock, and my future. You filled my lungs with laughter, my stomach with butterflies, and my heart with love. You were taken too soon, in a battle that you fought bravely without fail,” she wrote.
The cause of death was not immediately released.
Teal played Josh in the seventh season of “One Tree Hill.” Sophia Bush, who starred in the successful teen drama series, said she was “incredibly saddened” to hear the news. “He’s such a talent,” she wrote on her Instagram stories.
Bethany Joy Lenz, who played Haley James Scott in “One Tree Hill” and worked with Teal on a musical production of “The Notebook,” also paid tribute online.
“My heart is heavy. Paul Teal was the kind of guy who lit up a room without trying. His bright smile, infectious laugh and kind heart made you want to be near him,” she wrote.
Teal’s acting credits also include a part in the 2022 movie “Deep Water,” which starred Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas.
