Aqua’s death is a powerful reminder of his resolve, but it leaves fans questioning whether the price he paid was too high. After the release of the final chapter, Oshi no Ko‘s place in manga history will likely become clearer— whether as a celebrated masterpiece or a polarizing story that divided its readers.
Comparing Oshi no Ko‘s Ending to Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia
Oshi no Ko‘s ending is bound to spark heated debates, much like the ambiguous ending in Attack on Titan or the lackluster conclusion of Deku’s journey in My Hero Academia. Creator Hajime Isayama chose to end Attack on Titan in a way that was not only open-ended but also left a bitter taste among fans.
Similarly, Kohei Horikoshi delivered a conclusion in My Hero Academia that was rather unresolved and rushed. Oshi no Ko now sits in a similar space. Aka Akasaka’s ending may be bold, but it risks alienating a portion of the fanbase who yearned for a less gloomy conclusion.
