The property firm said the team, who have all joined from Turley, will work closely with CBRE colleagues in areas such as development, capital markets, and consultancy to ensure its clients can access its integrated offer.
New arrivals include senior directors Colin Smith, who has more than 27 years of experience in the field. With a background in the urban living, hospitality, leisure and commercial sectors, Mr Smith has been tasked to establish the planning team as an integral part of the CBRE service offer in Scotland and across the UK and to drive growth across sectors and geographies. The firm said his expertise will be “crucial in navigating the complexities of the Scottish planning landscape”.

Kate Donald has also joined the team as senior director, and will work alongside Mr Smith to advise on projects across Scotland, with a focus on Edinburgh and Glasgow. Her experience in repurposing the built environment, gained over 20 years in planning, will boost the team’s ability to deliver high-profile regeneration projects across the country, CBRE said.
The team, which includes Hannah Munro and James Wall as senior planners, is already advising on several landmark projects, including New Town Quarter and Ocean Terminal in Edinburgh, Blindwells New Community in East Lothian, and Summix Capital’s mixed-use development at Glasgow’s Central Quay.
