Pedestrian airlifted to hospital after being hit by car in Plainville

A pedestrian was airlifted to the hospital following a crash in Plainville on Sunday.

The crash was reported shortly after 10 a.m. on New Britain Avenue at the intersection of Hooker Street, according to the Plainville Police Department.

Officers responded to the area of a report of a crash involving a pedestrian. The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to Hartford Hospital via LifeStar, police said.

The Plainville Police Department Traffic Division is investigating the collision along with Connecticut State Police.
