A person is in critical but stable condition after being hit by a car while crossing an intersection in Fairfield on Sunday morning.
Officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of New England Avenue and Kings Highway Cutoff around 11:37 a.m., according to the Fairfield Police Department.
The pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital, where they were listed in critical but stable condition, police said.
Kings Highway Cutoff was closed during the investigation but has since reopened. Police said “there has been no determination of fault at this time.”
The crash is still under investigation by the Fairfield Police Department’s crash investigation unit.
