A man was rescued from a dam in Bridgeport early Sunday morning.
The Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center received a report of a man in the dam at Beardsley Park yelling for assistance around 5:53 a.m., according to Tiadora Josef, director of communications for the City of Bridgeport.
The Bridgeport Fire Department and Bridgeport Police Department responded to the incident. The man was successfully rescued and transported to the hospital by American Medical Response, Josef said.
