Police are investigating after a man was found dead outside a mall in Waterbury over the weekend.
Officers responded to the Brass Mill Mall at 495 Union St. on Saturday at 2:25 p.m. on the report of a dead male and found a man in a “secluded outdoor area near the parking lot,” according to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police Department.
“This case is currently being investigated as an untimely death,” Bessette said in a statement.
Bessette said the man’s body was expected to undergo an autopsy by the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death.
