IT’S been a difficult start to the season for Rangers.
They’re already nine points off Premiership leaders Celtic and Aberdeen, and sit outside the automatic qualification spots in the Europa League.
And Rangers‘ troubles are a source of frustration for fan and darts star Cameron Menzies.
The Scot recently won his first PDC ranking title at Players’ Championships 29 and is gearing up for the Grand Slam of Darts which starts on Saturday.
Menzies, who still works part-time as a plumber and goes out with Women‘s World No.3 Fallon Sherrock, has previously revealed on social media that he wants to see Philippe Clement sacked as boss of the Ibrox outfit.
And he told Sky Sports‘ ‘Love the Darts’ podcast that Gers’ poor form is a concern for him.
He said: “It’s not going well at all.Â
“Every game we win is a struggle, it’s just a hard watch and I don’t know what’s happening at the moment.
“Unfortunately we can’t change teams, it’s what we’re born into.
“One team’s dominating and unfortunately it’s not my team, so I’ve just got to take it on my chin and support them as best as I can, but it’s a tough time at the moment.”
Menzies won his ranking title the same day as Rangers‘ 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen at Pittodrie, and quickly took to X, formerly Twitter, to react to his quick change in fortunes.
He posted: “Remember I said sack Clement ahahahaha.”
After winning the event, he had said: “Fat boy did a thing.”
