IBROX has been a hot topic for Rangers fans this season.
The over-running building works at the historic Govan ground forced a move to Hampden at the start the season.
They installed a new disabled viewing platform and revamped part of the Copland Road end.
But even their short stay away – for four games – reminded Gers fans there really is no place like home.
Now the club has paid tribute to its’ iconic Ibrox base with a commemorative strip marking 125 years at the ground.
And they wheeled out some fan favourites who have graced the pitch to launch it.

As well as ladies team aces Rio Hardy and Olivia McLoughlin, Gers dressed Philippe Clement‘s captain James Tavernier, keeper Jack Butland and Nedim Bajrami in the new Castore gear for the special launch images.
The trio won’t use it against Olympiacos this week when they head to Greece in the Europa League – but some fans wish they would.
And others wish some of the greats from yesteryear who pulled on the jersey to promote it could be involved against the Greeks too!
Mark Hateley, Barry Ferguson and Lee McCulloch also pitched him to help launch the new top – pictured in the Gers’ famous wood-panelled dressing room and infront of the marble fireplace in the Blue Room.
And as fans gave split opinions on the shirt – many had wishful thinking when it came to the ex-pros who amassed 14 top tier titles and 20 cups between them during their time at Ibrox.
One wrote: “Finally three players who are worthy of the shirt!”
A second added: “I genuinely think they three would get a start for us the now.”
Another wrote: “Get the three of them on the park on Thursday – show the current boys what it’s all about.”
The shirt itself has split opinion – dubbed ‘too similar’ to an Everton or St Johnstone design by some.
But a fan countered: “This design should have been the home kit.”
Writing on X.com another said: “Why can’t the main tops ever be as good as the one-off special ones we bring out around Xmas?”
Abut another commented: The sponsor spoils it. Should have been plain.”
The club say the ‘shirt ‘very limited edition kit’ will be worn on the pitch in December – but don’t commit to it being specifically in match use.
Gers previously released a special 150th anniversary kit – an all-white nod to the ‘Gallant Pioneers’ based on the team’s first tops which were borrowed from a local rowing club.
However the top was only used for a warm-up against Aberdeen – not in-play as expected with claims Gers didn’t have the necessary permissions to use it in the Premiership.
Instead Gers explained: “The club felt that it was fitting to wear our traditional blue home strip to mark this momentous occasion for Rangers FC as we celebrate our 150th anniversary year.

“We look forward to wearing the Gallant Pioneers strip at a future game, as displayed by the team in today’s warm-up.”
The new commemorative Ibrox shirt costs £75 for adult sizes and £55 for junior.
