ONE of Fernando Ricksen’s former clubs has revealed a plan to honour the Ibrox legend in their new third kit – and they’re set to unveil it THIS WEEK.
Ricksen, who lost his six-year battle against motor neurone disease back in 2019, was a hugely popular figure at all his previous clubs, not least Rangers.
And that’s likely to make Fortuna Sittard’s new third kit a massive seller
That’s the club where the midfielder began AND ended his pro career.
There were hugely touching scenes at the club’s ground at the time of his passing – with players wearing black armbands and fans unveiling banners in the second minute of the match.
While the strip is being kept under wraps, it is believed that officials from Fortuna Sittard have been at Ibrox to do some filming ahead of the strip’s launch.

“I had many highlights in my time at Ibrox and I’m not surprised to see Helicopter Sunday in the 10 chosen.
