RANGERS are sweating over the status of Neraysho Kasanwirjo who has not yet been for a scan on the knee he hurt on international duty.
The Gers defender collapsed in a heap and was forced off the pitch in tears whilst in action for Netherlands Under-21s.
Kasanwirjo, 22, raised fears when he went down under no contact and immediately grabbed his leg in the 77th minute of the match against England.
The full-back is currently on loan at Ibrox from Feyenoord and there is a chance that if the injury is so severe he could be sent back to his homeland for treatment – effectively ending his Rangers tenure.
SunSport understands the amount of swelling on the player’s knee has prohibited medics sending him for a scan.
Kasanwirjo will almost certainly be absent from the matchday squad that takes on Dundee United this weekend but once the extent of the injury is revealed he could be out for anything between six weeks and several months.

Boss Philippe Clement will speak to the media later today and fans will hope he can shed some light on the Gers star‘s fitness.
Kasanwirjo has so far played in 12 games for Rangers, including three starts.
He has played at both left-back, right-back and centre-back since arriving on loan from the Dutch giants.
Clement is also dealing with injuries to Oscar Cortes, Tom Lawrence, Rabbi Matondo and Ridvan Yilmaz in recent weeks, and Danilo has only recently began to return to close to full fitness again.
Fans on social media shared their worries after learning of the incident.
One said: “Kasanwirjo down injured and it ain’t looking good.”
A second fan commented: “Doubt we will see Kasanwirjo play for Rangers again if he’s out for any length of time. The Rangers curse still in full flow.”
Another said: “What an absolute downer the injury to Kasanwirjo. Cannot believe that’s likely another long term injury. Probably won’t see the the lad in a Rangers shirt again.”
A fourth supporter said: “Let’s hope this isn’t as bad as it looks, speedy recovery Neraysho Kasanwirjo.”
