It will also launch a route from Aberdeen to the Polish city of Krakow from April 2, 2025, with flights going on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The new flights will be a huge boost for travellers from both cities, with Malta becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination while Krakow is often visited for a city break for people across the country.
The Malta flight becomes Ryanair’s seventh route from Glasgow, alongside Alicante, Brussels, Dublin, Krakow, Malaga and Wroclaw.
The new service is expected to carry an additional 20,000 passengers between Glasgow and the Mediterranean island next summer.

Chris Tibbett, Aero Director for AGS Airports, said: “We’re delighted that Ryanair has chosen to expand its operations here by introducing a new direct route to Malta.
“This addition underscores the airline’s confidence in Glasgow as a gateway for Scottish travellers. It also means more choice for those looking for a sunny escape, whether for a long weekend, a full week’s holiday, or an extended stay.”
The flight from Aberdeen to Krakow will become Ryanair’s four service from the airport, and their second to Poland after Gdansk.
The airline will also up their number of flights to Faro next summer, going from two to three flights per week.
Alongside the route to Krakow, it means Ryanair are upping their operations at Aberdeen International Airport by 43 percent in comparison to 2024.

“Krakow is one of Europe’s most popular city destinations, known for its rich history and vibrant culture. This is great news for our passengers, and with the added bonus of increased frequency on our Faro route, it highlights Ryanair’s commitment to offering expanded options from Aberdeen.”
