NINA Nesbitt has shared her concerns over fans of her music making requests for “sexual” messages.
The singer-songwriter, 30, is celebrating the release of her new album, Mountain Music.
She has expressed her joy at the response from her legions of fans who have ordered the record.
But the award-winning musician has also shared her worries after receiving “inappropriate and strange” requests from some.
Nesbitt, from Livingston, said creepy fans have asked her to write seedy messages on their album cases.
Taking to social media, he wrote: “Just a note to say… I really really appreciate every single vinyl or CD order with your personalised messages but I don’t appreciate any requests to write sexual things for you on them.
“Just so you know, I find it very inappropriate and strange. Especially after I’ve worked so hard to create this album.”
Nesbitt also paid tribute to fans for paying for her new album.
She added: “On a lighter note – thank you SO much to anyone who put an order in today. I loved reading what your favourite lyrics were or what songs already mean to you.
“I hope you enjoy my terrible attempt at drawing the thing you requested too hehe. Also so many of you from Taiwan and Japan?! I need to visit asap.”
The indie folk musician has released four studio albums.
She launched her debut record, Peroxide, in 2014 after uploading her first cover to YouTube aged 15.
Nesbitt has two top 40 singles and was named best emerging artist at the 2013 Scottish Music Awards.
We previously told how she urged aspiring musicians to use YouTube to kickstart a career in the industry.
