However, the recently released spoilers of One Piece chapter 1126 have given a major insight into Shanks’ character and his care for Luffy. While it has not been officially confirmed by Eiichiro Oda or the One Piece narrative, the recent development unequivocally proves Shanks’ innocence as a One Piece character.

According to the upcoming chapter, Shanks’ intention was never to hurt Luffy and only wanted to see what kind of relationship he had developed as a pirate over the years. And now that he has confirmed that, he is proud of him and happy that there are others who care for him so much.

The Everlasting Doubt on Shanks’ Character

Ever since Shanks’ character was introduced in One Piece, there has been a lot of mystery around it. Be it his journey as a pirate or his relationship with Luffy, Eiichiro Oda has never clearly tried to explain his real intentions or his personality to the One Piece fans, which has caused the fans to doubt his character.

However, things went completely sideways when fans saw him meet the Five Elders to discuss “a certain pirate.” Many believed that Shanks might be talking about Luffy, and this automatically put him on the list of potential betrayers. From here on, every appearance he made cast doubt on his character, and his mysterious personality doesn’t help him at all.

Every One Piece fan knows Shanks is extremely important for the narrative, and irrespective of which side he is on, the captain of the Red-Haired Pirates is going to have a major impact on the final war of the story. Thus, fans are eager to see what Oda has planned for him in the upcoming chapters.

Eiichiro Oda Might Have Cleared Shanks’ Name

The detailed spoilers of One Piece chapter 1126 recently hit the internet, and they have brought good news for fans who have been rooting for Shanks. These spoilers reveal Shanks’ confrontation with Bartolomeo after he burned down the Red-Haired Pirate’s flag. As expected, the Red-Haired Pirates defeated Bartolomeo pretty easily.

But to test his allegiance to Luffy, Hongo (one of the crew members) gave him a bottle of poison and asked him to kill Luffy with it within a month. Bartolomeo knew that he couldn’t get out of this situation, so he decided to drink the poison himself and pointed out that Luffy had nothing to do with his actions, and he would never let anyone hurt his mentor.

Shanks let Bartolomeo go and was later seen talking to Beckman about how Luffy has built such a great relationship with everyone, and the fact that there are so many people to care for him makes him happy. Thus, it finally proves that Shanks does not have any evil intentions towards Luffy, and he is not the One Piece villain that fans thought him to be.
