Sharpsville High School girls' basketball preview

SHARPSVILLE, Pa. (WKBN) – Sharpsville appears ready to improve upon last year’s 12-win team with Lily Palko (16.9 ppg), its’ senior point guard, along with her classmate Macie Steiner – who scored 12.9 points and hauled down 8.5 boards as a guard. Junior Brooklyn Ramsey also is back after she averaged 8.4 points per game.

Coach Rob Hubbard says, “We bring back two of the best guards in the county. We expect to compete in a tough region this year.”

Newcomers Dava Masters, Kathryn Smith and freshman Elle Danilovics all are expected to be involved in the success of the program.

“Our toughness and how hard we play is a strength,” states Hubbard. “We expect to compete and be in every game this season.”

The season tips off at home on November 30 against Hickory.
