SHOCKING footage shows the moment a Labour MP was attacked by a gang of phone thieves in a horror late-night mugging.
Chris Webb – the MP for Blackpool South had been attempting to collect a parcel from a corner shop in Lambeth Walk, south London, just before the attack.
He was walking away from a corner shop when he took his phone out of his suit pocket around 10pm yesterday.
CCTV captured the moment masked thieves sped up behind him on electric bikes.
One of the thugs grabbed the MP’s arm and snatched the phone from his hands in a matter of seconds.
Mr Webb tried to chase the criminals as they sped off into the distance.
The 38-year-old then called the police using his Apple Watch as people from nearby shops came out to help him.
Mohammad Khan, the owner of the corner shop where the CCTV footage was recorded, described Chris as a “nice guy” who frequently visits their store, often to collect parcels.
In a post on social media, the MP said he was assaulted by a “group of individuals”.
