‘Snobby’ house hunters blasted for judging immaculate £165k home for sale in Scotland that has ‘B&M written all over it’

HOUSE hunters have been left divided over an unassuming terrace house up for sale that has “B&M written all over it”.

The Kinross home in Perthshire is up for grabs on Rightmove but has gone viral on social media too thanks to its ‘Mrs Hinch-inspired’ decor.

The immaculate two-bedroom home has grey interiors throughout, crushed velvet furniture and Chanel-themed artwork.

Posting the listing on TikTok, one social media user racked up 560,000 views and joked: “If B&M was a house, this would be it.

“When I first saw the living room, I genuinely thought the photo was taken in black and white until I saw the pink footstool.

“It’s safe to say that the interior of this house has got B&M written all over it. We’ve got grey, we’ve got white, we’ve got glitter, you name it, they’ve probably got it from B&M.

“Of course they’ve got a crushed velvet bed, [sofas] and curtains.

“And what B&M house wouldn’t be complete with a sign that says ‘all you need is love’. And if you look above the bed, they’ve even got a Chanel picture frame.”

Other social media users took to the comments section to agree with the poster about the home.

“Mrs Hinch has a lot to answer for”, one said.

A second questioned: “What in the live laugh love?”

A third insisted: “That’s gotta be a Love Island reject’s house.”

I live in a council house and I gave my kitchen a mega makeover for just £70 – a £2 B&M buy was a real game changer

Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “Crushed velvet final boss level.”

But those judging the interiors were instantly blasted over their “snobbery” as the majority of people rushed to defend the property and its homeowner.

“People slagging this off probably don’t own their own home. You’re buying a house not the furniture”, one person fumed.

A different user reinforced this point and felt the furnishings were no big deal as “they’re not usually included anyway”.

A third chimed in: “I don’t like the crushed velvet snobbery – it’s clean and well cared for.”

A fourth pointed out: “This is someone’s well loved home. It’s immaculate. I bet they’re very proud.”

“It’s clean and tidy and it’s a reflection of their taste and budget”. agreed a fourth before fuming “leave it alone”.

And while many argued over the home’s interiors, others were more distracted by its £165,000 price point.

One person gasped: “Where are people finding homes for this price? I can’t get change out of £280k where I live.”

A second wrote: “That house is a total bargain.. nice and clean and fresh. Pretty much a blank canvas when the grey furniture is out. Better than a grimy cluttered place.”

It also features a fully enclosed back garden and parking at the front.

Even better, it’s in a “popular residential location” near the scenic shores of Loch Leven.
