In the grim darkness of Warhammer 40K‘s atmosphere, there is only war… and Space Marine 2 Dataslates to find.
As you tear through hordes of Tyranids in the new release, you might’ve found some items called ‘Dataslates‘ scattered through the Campaign and Operations missions.
These provide snippets of lore in the form of audio logs, and finding all 35 Space Marine 2 Dataslates will net you the ‘Data Miner‘ achievement you can show off to your friends. There are 23 Campaign Dataslates and 12 Operations Dataslates, scattered across various missions.
This guide will help you locate all 12 Space Marine 2 Dataslates in the Operations mode, with two to be found in each mission.
Operations Inferno Dataslates
Dataslate #1 – Amelioration of Improper Ordinance Storage
This can be found during Space Marine 2‘s ‘Reach the Astra Militarum Camp‘ objective in the Inferno mission.
Follow the main path and turn around when you notice a pipeline, after which you’ll find a bunker with the Dataslate inside.
Dataslate #2 Admiration of Promethium
You can get this during the ‘Advance to the Observation Platform‘ objective. When you see a destroyed bridge, turn left, ascend two levels, and follow the path. It’s located on a table to the left.

Operations Decapitation Dataslates
Dataslate #1 Final Sermon
During the ‘Proceed to the Bridge Tower‘ objective, go to the balcony on the left in the first Cathedral building you enter. It’ll be right in front of a slightly opened (but blocked) door.
This can be located during the ‘Pursue the Hive Tyrant‘ objective. When you enter the room with two large, spinning fans, go right and straight ahead to the dead-end, where the Dataslate is on top of a box.
Operations Vox Liberatis Dataslates
Dataslate #1 Creation of Daemonhost, I
This one is found during the ‘Find a Way to Take Down the Warp Shielding‘ objective.
When you come across the brick building after taking the elevator, advance right, and then left. The Dataslate is at the end of the hallway.
Dataslate #2 Creation of Daemonhost, II
Located during the ‘Navigate the Lower Levels of the Cathedral‘ objective, is found in the big room right before entering the glowing blue room. Go to the right of its entrance near the desks placed in front of the staircase.
Operations Reliquary Dataslates
Dataslate #1 Servitor Greeting, Demerium
During the ‘Proceed to the Warp Beacon‘ objective, go up the staircase to the left of the door with the glowing green mark on it. It’s found at the back of the platform.
Dataslate #2 Heretic Attack, Demerium
This one can be obtained during the same objective when you reach the area that’s on fire. Go through the Tower with the open entryway, enter the balcony on the right, and turn around. The Dataslate is at the end of the metal platform.
Operations Fall of Atreus Dataslates
Dataslate #1 Unauthorised Override Attempt
In the ‘Proceed to the Mechanicus Compound‘ objective, the first Dataslate is located in the back of the room filled with pillars. This is referred to as the loadout drop pod in-game.
Dataslate #2 Status: Battle Barge, Sword of Atreus
This one is found later in the same objective. When you reach the facility with multiple floors, start by going up the catwalk on the left and continue following the path.
You’ll soon see a long, straight catwalk in front of you. Take the first ramp and then go left.
Operations Ballistic Engine Dataslates
Dataslate #1 Missing Servo-Hauler
Obtainable during the ‘Proceed to the Militarum Depot‘ objective, this Dataslate is close to the glowing gold altar. When you see it, take the right path, go straight, and go right again. It’s located on a table at the end of the path.
Dataslate #2 War Preparation, Avarax
This one is found during the ‘Advance to the Train‘ objective. Look above to see an overhead bridge and approach it, passing a small burning area to your right. The Dataslate is located to the left of a Chimera tank next to a bridge pillar.
