WHEN it comes to going on holiday there’s lots of factors to consider.
You want to make sure you pick a beautiful setting and that the service is impecible.
But it’s also important to make sure you are getting the best bang for your buck.
And the latest Condé Nast Awards for Excellence 2025 has included a gong for best value experience.
This year that honour goes to the beautiful Murrayshall Country Estate in Perthshire.
The travel experts at Condé Nast describe the four-star destination as ‘a luxury boutique hotel full of natural tranquillity’.
Located in 365 acres of beautiful Scone countryside, Murrayshall is just three miles from Perth city centre.
The estate dates back over 400 years while the hotel itself has 40 sophisticated rooms and suites, two restaurants, a bar and five event spaces.
As well as the hotel, there’s 27 holes of golf, three spa treatment rooms, bike hire, woodland walks, archery, axe throwing and quad biking – so there really is something for everyone.
The Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2025 was marked with an awards ceremony at Kimpton Fitzroy London, with winners from across the globe attending.
Charlotte Evans, Group Publishing Director at Condé Nast Johansens, said: “We are delighted to celebrate new and returning establishments across the globe.
“The 2025 Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence continue to acknowledge, reward and honour luxury hospitality from our carefully chosen collection of recommended properties.”
Some of the other properties that won awards across the UK include the Best New Property, which went to The BoTree in London while the Best Recently Renovated Hotel gong went to Sopwell House in Hertfordshire.
And the hotel which won Best for Romance was the Plas Dinas Country House in Gwynedd, Wales.
