Sydney Sweeney’s vote has been a hot topic on X with several users claiming that the actress revealed her affiliation to Trump. As soon as Donald Trump‘s victory became the viral news on social media, some fans of Sydney Sweeney shared her alleged political affiliation on X. Many users on X claimed that Sweeney came on record to say that she voted for President Trump. While Sweeney’s political affiliations remain a mystery, she has never expressed open support for the 47th President.
Some fans used photos from her infamous MAGA party to fact-check the news, however, Sweeney had already provided an explanation for those photos. Sweeney’s mom’s 60th birthday party became controversial after fans noted that several of the party guests wore MAGA hats and ‘Blue Lives Matter’ t-shirts.
Sweeney’s brother later clarified that the hats read “Make Sixty Great Again”, while Sydney took to X to express her disappointment with people making assumptions. She shared that people were making an innocent celebration into an absurd political statement. It is unfortunate that Trump supporters have used the same photos to prove her Republican affiliation.
Another fan shared that she was probably Republican since she hailed from Spokane. Interestingly, Sweeney addressed the same during her funny monologue in SNL. Some fans went as far as to make claims that she may have never attended a Diddy party since she was an alleged Republican.

In an interview with Variety, Sweeney defended the party guests who wore the controversial apparel to her mom’s birthday celebration. She shared that they were her mom’s friend from LA who “have kids that are walking outside in the Pride parade.” She shared that they thought the costume would be funny since they were visiting Idaho.
