An alleged stalker has been causing emotional distress to the mother of four, who is reportedly using a private investigator to track him down. But, the whole operation seems to be not working.
Kim Kardashian is Troubled Due to an Alleged Stalker
Kim Kardashian has been a renowned name in the entertainment world thanks to her family show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Since then, she has continued to elevate her profile, expanding her portfolio beyond the TV industry.
Apart from her professional career, she has often made headlines for her personal life. According to InTouch Weekly, she filed a petition in August in Los Angeles Superior Court seeking protection for herself and her children—North West, Saint West, Chicago West, and Psalm West.
She is worried about her and her children’s safety from an alleged stalker, Melvin Jeffrey Conley. It was her friend and actress Emma Roberts who warned her about a man who broke into Roberts’ home, expressing his desire to contact Kim. The petition read,
I am informed and believe that my security, with the assistance of [Emma], was able to make contact with this man by telephone. During that call, the man admitted entering [Emma’s] home without her permission.
Having confirmed that she has no relationship with that man, she wasted no time in taking legal action. The court quickly granted her a temporary restraining order, but Conley’s whereabouts are yet to be unraveled.
The SKIMS founder has been emotionally distressed by Conley’s situation as she stated,
I have suffered and continue to worry, concern, and severe emotional distress. I am particularly troubled that Mr. Conley would have had to go to extreme lengths to learn where my Malibu home is located.
Since the situation demands some extreme measures, she has hired a private investigator to track Conley down to end her troubles. But, the report reflects that it might not be going well.
Kim Kardashian Hires P.I. for Tracking Down Melvin Jeffrey Conley
The alleged stalker has become a significant source of fear for her who has taken serious action in resolving it all. Apart from seeking legal help to avoid contact with the stalker, she has hired a private investigator from Black Box Security Inc.
It is an LA-based security firm, Black Box Security, known for handling high-profile cases. They assigned its Director of Investigations, John Romero, to manage her case.
Romero has submitted a declaration in court to obtain a permanent restraining order against the alleged stalker. He attempted to serve Conley with court documents at his last known address—his mother’s home in Sacramento.
However, it was a dead end as his mother revealed that Conley was no longer residing there. He is also homeless in the Los Angeles area as per his mother. The investigator was seemingly having difficulty in tracking the stalker down as he revealed,
Since service attempts at Mr. Conley’s mother’s house (the only known address associated with him recently) proved unsuccessful, I have attempted to locate and serve him by various methods.
He continued,
I attempted to reach Mr. Conley by telephone and his phone went directly to the message, ‘The person you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time.
He also searched local jail databases and contacted police in LA and surrounding counties but he had no luck in finding him. However, the court granted her additional time to serve Conley and a new hearing has been scheduled for November 1.
