PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Two people from Texas have been hit with drug charges after a traffic stop that happened on Friday.
According to the Priceville Police Department, officers pulled a vehicle over along I-65 SB for minor traffic violations around 5 a.m.
Upon making contact with the individuals in the car, a narcotics field investigation began. While searching the vehicle, officers found over a pound of synthetic opiate in liquid form, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
PPD also told News 19 that over $39,000 was found inside the vehicle as well.
As a result of the search, Rosie Victoria Swayzer, 30, of Houston, Texas and Terrance Lee Kyles, 31, of Houston, Texas were both arrested.
Swayzer and Kyles were both taken to the Morgan County Jail and have been charged with the following:
- Trafficking illegal drugs
- Unlawful possession of marijuana-2nd
- Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
According to Priceville Police, both Swayzer’s and Kyles’ bonds were set at $820,000.
