The Hague is the first city in the world to ban advertising for fossil fuels and carbon-intensive services and products such as air travel and cruises in the streetscape. Advertising for airline tickets, for example, but also hybrid cars, will be prohibited in the streetscape of the Dutch administrative center from 1 January 2025, the city council confirmed on Friday.
