The responsibility of carrying the legacy of Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball franchise has now been given into the hands of Dragon Ball DAIMA. The enticing series that is about to make its debut in October 2024 has excited the fans who are hoping for the nostalgic Dragon Ball experience that built the foundation of the anime industry on a global level in the past.
As the trailer of the upcoming series was recently released by Toei Animation, it revealed that Dragon Ball DAIMA might be bringing back some old concepts from the prominent Dragon Ball series, including the bad-mouthed Dragon Ball GT. While nothing is confirmed as of yet, Dragon Ball fans have reason to believe that DAIMA might portray the return of an iconic Saiyan form.
This form is none other than Super Saiyan 4, and although it was not canonical, DAIMA might just make it canon and redeem it with an even better and more compelling concept than the not-so-popular Dragon Ball GT.
Dragon Ball DAIMA Might Feel Nostalgic
Ever since Dragon Ball DAIMA was introduced during the Dragon Ball Special Panel at New York Comic Con 2023, fans have been a little skeptical about it. However, when more details were shared about the upcoming series, Dragon Ball fans recognized some old concepts being used by DAIMA in different and potentially better ways.
The first one was the return of Kid Goku. Kid Goku has been a part of the original Dragon Ball series and Dragon Ball GT. He was widely popular among the fans and DAIMA has brought him back along with his iconic Power Pole which is also a fond memory for many Dragon Ball fans. However, Dragon Ball DAIMA has introduced their own twist by giving him a super saiyan transformation.
Another old concept that Dragon Ball DAIMA is bringing back is the hellish Demon Realm. The Demon Realm was an evil world created by Akira Toriyama that introduced many iconic villains of the series including Dabura, Janemba, Fu, Demigra, etc. Thus DAIMA would surely add a new twist to it too.
The Possibility of Super Saiyan Four Transformation in Dragon Ball DAIMA
Out of all the Super Saiyan transformations, Super Saiyan Four is considered to be the most underrated one. This is because it brings back the primal animalistic form of Saiyans that referenced the Oozaru form. It is also one of the most popular Saiyan transformations despite being a part of Dragon Ball GT which was heavily criticized.
The possibility of Super Saiyan Four being a part of Dragon Ball DAIMA may seem far-fetched, but there have been some aspects of the series that give the assumption a chance.

The first being the return of Kid Goku and The Power Pole from Dragon Ball GT. Both of these aspects are a nostalgic reference to the original concepts but they are incomplete without the iconic tail.
If Dragon Ball DAIMA brings the tail back, then the possibility of Goku turning Super Saiyan Four increases even further. This is because there have been multiple rumors about making the iconic Super Saiyan transformation Canon, and Dragon Ball DAIMA is the best way to do it.
