The Netherlands will return 288 cultural heritage items to Indonesia on Friday. They were “wrongfully” taken to the Netherlands during the colonial period, according to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW). They are objects from the National Collection that have been managed until now by the Wereldmuseum, which has several branches and depots in the country.
