The two boxing stars are set to clash on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Texas, with an 8-round, 2-minute format instead of the regular 3-minute ones! The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has given it the green light, so it’s officially happening.
Now, in case people have been living under a rock, the fight was originally scrapped earlier this year after Tyson had an ulcer flare-up. But no worries, Iron Mike’s back in the gym, ready to throw punches and maybe some punches of wisdom into the YouTuber.
To sweeten the deal, promoters have slashed ticket prices in half, likely hoping to attract more fans without the hefty price tag. Tickets start as low as $30 on SeatGeek. Most tickets are listed at around $37, with the capacity of the venue being 80,000 fans. However, ringside seats are going for $50,000 each, and in May, MVP offered a $2 million VIP package for two exclusive “apron seats.” People are only hoping the match will be worth it all!
Will Bare-Knuckle Fighting Pose a Threat to Mike Tyson’s Health?
It’s no secret that the GOAT has slowed down a bit with age, and unfortunately, his health hasn’t been immune to the passage of time. While the bare-knuckle fight involves two competitors exchanging punches without the protection of gloves, making it a much more dangerous and intense, this format could significantly increase the risks to Tyson’s health. Given his age and recent health challenges, he has been experiencing recently.
