A SMALL campsite in England is right by the UK’s best beach – and has a very private place to pitch your tent.
Budle Hall is near Bamburgh Beach, which is often named the best in the country.

While you can stay in the country house, a cheaper alternative if you want to get back to basics is it’s wild camping.
Found on the field just behind the house, there are just three pitches which are a short walk to the beach.
Each one has its own private shower and toilet block, as well as sinks and space for firepits.
One of the pitches is its fully private pitch in its “secret walled garden”.
While it only has a composting loo and cold tap, it offers much more seclusion.
It’s cheaper too, costing £40 a night for one pitch.
The other two pitches cost £60 although sleep up to six, as they fit tents and small campervans – so this works out to just £10 each a night.
Pay an extra £20 and you can book the converted combine harvester which sleeps an adult and child.
Previous guests have raved about the campsite.
One person wrote: “We loved camping at Budle Hall Field Camping. Relaxed, friendly hosts and a gorgeous and safe space for our family.”
Another said: “Probably the best place we have camped for a very long time!”
If you want a proper bed, then there are a number of options at Budle Hall, including four B&B rooms.
The country house was built in 1810, and has since been converted into rooms.
There is also Budle Lodge, a self-catering holiday cottage which sleeps six, as well as the Wild Chive Lodge, also sleeping six.
It’s just a seven minute walk to the Budle Bay Beach, so you don’t need to go far.

But a five minute drive away is Bamburgh Beach, which was named the best seaside destination by Which? for the fourth year in a row.
It was also named one of the UK’s best beaches by The Times earlier this year.

When visiting any campsite this summer it’s important to make sure you’re not making simple mistakes that could ruin your holiday.
Check your tent
David recommends putting your tent up a couple of weeks before you’re due to travel to give you enough time to repair or replace any damaged parts.
He told Sun Online Travel: “You’d be surprised how many people turn up with broken tents.”
Test the ground
Picking a good spot to pitch your tent is difficult, with lots of things to consider.
One of those should be the condition of the ground you’re putting your tent on top of, according to David.
He said: “Once you’ve found the perfect spot, test the ground with your pegs before you commit to camping there to make sure the ground is soft enough.”
Don’t nap in your tent
It may seem the perfect place for it, but a nap in a tent could end badly, if it’s done at the wrong time of the day.
David explained: “If the sun’s shining and it’s hot inside your tent – don’t do it!
“One of our friends nodded off in his tent during a heatwave at Glastonbury and ended up at the medical tent with heatstroke.”
Instead, he recommends finding some shade outside or somewhere well ventilated.
Another UK campsite has even been compared to Greece.
