Tropical Depression Francine prompts Alabama school delays for Friday, Sept. 13

Francine, now a tropical depression, continues to cause headaches across Alabama.

Some school districts have announced delays to Friday classes due to weather conditions.

Flood watches are in effect for much of the state through Friday, and multiple areas of Alabama can see as much as six inches of rain on Friday.

A Level 1, or moderate risk, severe weather threat will linger across much of Alabama into Friday:

Cullman County Schools – 2-hour delay Friday

Limestone County Schools – 2-hour delay Friday

This list will be updated as more districts announce changes to their Friday schedules.
