Former President Donald Trump will host a press conference at the Trump National Golf Course Los Angeles in Rancho Palos Verdes on Friday morning, Sept. 13.
The press conference comes amidst an especially busy week for the former president.
On Tuesday evening, he will face off against Vice President Kamala Harris in a highly anticipated presidential debate in Philadelphia. Then on Thursday, Trump will speak at a private campaign fundraiser in Los Angeles.
Tickets for the fundraiser start at $3,300 and range up to $250,000. Some of the perks associated with higher ticket prices include a photo with the former president, preferred seating at the event, an invitation to a roundtable and the honor of being a co-host.
No information was available as of press time on the subject of Friday’s press conference.
Rancho Palos Verdes residents have recently experienced dangerous landslides, spurring utility companies to cut off electrical and gas service to dozens of homes. Last Tuesday, Sept. 3, Governor Newsom declared a state of emergency in Rancho Palos Verdes to allow local officials to rapidly access funding and resources to respond to the power outages.
Trump’s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, also recently visited the city of angels. On Sunday, he spoke at a campaign fundraiser hosted by Silicon Valley entrepreneur David Sacks and his wife Jacqueline.
On Friday, Sept. 6, Vance spoke about immigration policy while visiting the U.S.-Mexico border in California at San Ysidro near Tijuana. That evening he raised money at a campaign reception in Rancho Santa Fe hosted by Bob Shillman and his wife June. Shillman is founder and former CEO of the Cognex Corp., which creates vision systems, software, sensors, and industrial barcode readers used in manufacturing automation.
Currently, Harris has the advantage when it comes to campaign contributions.
The Harris campaign and Democratic National Committee reported raising a combined $361 million in August, leaving Harris with $404 million cash on hand, the campaign reported Friday.
Trump’s campaign team said on that it and the Republican Party raised $130 million in August and had $295 million cash on hand at the end of the month.
