Two people were hospitalized following a serious head-on collision in Berlin on Thursday.
Emergency responders were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash in the area of 221 Christian Lane around 3:24 p.m. on Thursday, according to Deputy Chief Drew Gallupe of the Berlin Police Department.
An initial investigation indicated that one of the vehicles crossed over the center line and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle, Gallupe said.
Both drivers were transported to an area hospital. One of the drivers sustained life-threatening injuries, according to Gallupe.
Christian Lane was closed between Route 9 and Deming Road as the Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad responded to the scene to conduct the ongoing investigation.
The Berlin Police Department is asking any witnesses to come forward with additional information.
