Residents of northeastern Connecticut seeking urgent care will now have two more options to get treatment.
Hartford HealthCare’s – GoHealth Urgent Care has opened new urgent care centers in Willimantic and Ellington on Friday. With the expansion, GoHealth Urgent Care clinics now number 35 locations across the state, according to Hartford HealthCare.
Hartford Healthcare said in a statement that the recent openings are aimed at providing greater health care access in more rural areas of Connecticut.
“Our newest locations allow more patients easy access to affordable health care where they live,” said Eric Walsh, M.D., medical director, Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care, in a statement. “Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth continues to invest in patient-centered, neighborhood locations like these, and we look forward to serving more communities across Connecticut.”
Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care centers offer treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, onsite X-ray services and diagnostic testing, the health system said. The urgent care centers are open 365 days a year, including holidays, officials said. The Willimantic clinic is located at 1315 Main St. and the Ellington clinic is located at 135 West Road.
