UConn football announced Thursday that the program will play an additional game in its series with Syracuse in 2028.
The Huskies are now set to travel to upstate New York for a game on Nov. 11, 2028.
The programs are set to meet on Nov. 23 at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse as the Huskies look for their eighth win of the season and first against a power conference opponent. The programs are set to meet again in Syracuse next season, on Sept. 26, 2025. UConn is scheduled to host the matchup the next two years at Rentschler Field on Oct. 3, 2026 and Nov. 6, 2027.
With the game added for 2028, the programs will meet in each of the next five seasons.
The all-time series is tied at 6-6 heading into next weekend’s matchup, with Syracuse having won the last four meetings. The last meeting was in East Hartford on Sept. 10, 2022, which Syracuse won 48-14 in coach Jim Mora’s first season.
Under first-year head coach Fran Brown, Syracuse is 6-3 entering the weekend and will play at Cal on Saturday before hosting the Huskies.
